Retirement is an exciting time, but it can also be a challenge. The last thing you want to worry about is health care. Kaiser Permanente WA offers coverage for both Medicare-eligible retirees as well as those retiring before they are Medicare-eligible.
If you are eligible for Medicare and have enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B, you can enroll in our PEBB retiree Medicare Advantage plan. For those who are not yet Medicare eligible, you can remain on the Kaiser Permanente WACDHP, Classic, SoundChoice, or Value as a retiree.
If you have questions about eligibility and enrollment, go to the PEBB Program’s “For Retirees” page.
Almost eligible for Medicare?
For retirees, COBRA, and PEBB Continuation of Coverage members only: When you receive your Medicare card, send a copy of it to the Public Employees Benefits Board (PEBB) Program indicating the effective dates of your Medicare Parts A & B coverage. Write your full name and the last four digits of your social security number on the copy. You won't need to enroll in Medicare Part D, since your PEBB plan provides comparable prescription drug benefits.
