Small Group on record setting pace

On your mark, get set, go and grow! Our Small Group line of business ended 2016 with record setting sales and retention of existing accounts. The pace hasn’t let up in the first quarter of 2017.

Our Small Group plans are built to keep the workforce at its healthiest, which helps employers move business forward. Through smart benefit design, coordinated care, chronic condition management, and preventive medicine, we help improve the health of employees, as well as a company’s bottom line.

“Thank you to our valued producer partners for helping us continue the remarkable growth in the first quarter of 2017,” says Kelly Chrisman, manager of Producer Relations and Small Group. “We’re looking forward to the year ahead with the right products, benefits, and rates to keep the momentum of new sales and account retention going.”

A few tips to help us streamline efficiencies

With the huge volume of new sales, it’s important to be sure all enrollment information is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner. We’re asking for your help.

  • Get your new groups in as early as possible. Don’t wait until the last day; the 20th of the month prior to the effective date is the cut-off. Our ultimate goal is to have ID cards in the hands of our members on their effective date.
  • Review the master application in detail. It must be completed in full and signed.
  • Send in a current copy of the employer’s Washington State business license. We now accept a copy of the Washington State Department of Revenue’s “State Business Records Database Detail” for the group with current tax registration information.
  • If the company is having employees complete enrollment forms, make sure you review them for accuracy before sending them to us. Please be sure all fields are completed, including names, addresses, birth dates, Social Security numbers, and so on. If you can’t read them, neither can we.
  • Groups may use our electronic census template. Be sure all fields within the template are completed for each person enrolling. Missing information causes delays.
  • Send all new group materials for setup to our Sales team, not our Membership office. Pick the location nearest to you:
