New tools to help employees facing a loss or change in coverage

Apr. 13, 2021

When employers are looking to help employees facing a loss or change of coverage, it’s helpful to have a guide. Kaiser Permanente Washington now offers resources to support your conversations about continuation of coverage, including a checklist, communications materials, and a webinar.

Since the loss of coverage triggers a time-limited special enrollment period, it’s important to have a communications plan in place to help employees avoid a gap in coverage. Our program is designed to help employers create a plan and promote the conversations that enable affected employees to avoid a gap in coverage. It also makes it easy for those facing coverage loss or change to find the right Kaiser Permanente plan for their transition: individual and family, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, or COBRA.
